What I’m Reading – 1/30/15
Below are some of the articles and books I’ve read recently that you may enjoy perusing.
- “The Myth of Vampire Children,” by Christopher Kaczor — The gist is they are a blessing and not bloodsuckers! (subscription required)
- Firmly Planted, by Robby Gallaty — This book, forthcoming, is the second in a trilogy on discipleship. The first, Growing Up, is already available and is well worth a read as well.
- “Jesus on Safari:The Legacy of Jaroslav Pelikan,” by Timothy George — a fantastic article on a great theologian by one of my favorite writers. Well worth your time!
- “9 Things You Should Know about Auschwitz and Nazi Concentration Camps,” by Joe Carter — The title says it all. Anniversaries are a great time to remember, and in this case we remember the depravity that plagues us all.
- “Marcus Borg, Leading Liberal Theologian and Historical Jesus Expert, Dies at 72” — An important figure from the famed “quest for the historical Jesus.”
