What I’m Reading – 11/6/14
Below are a few of the books I’ve been reading recently. Each of which would be worth your time, so I encourage you to pick one up and share one with a friend.
- Can I Really Trust the Bible, by Barry Cooper. Cooper provides here a simple, clear, and compelling defense of the Bible’s complete truthfulness.
- From Every Tribe and Nation: A Historian’s Discovery of the Global Christian Story, by Mark Noll. This is Noll’s biographical journey to understanding and appreciating global Christianity.
- Counter Culture: A Compassionate Call to Counter Culture in a World of Poverty, Same-Sex Marriage, Racism, Sex Slavery, Immigration, Abortion, Persecution, Orphans and Pornography, by David Platt (forthcoming). Platt tackles current moral issues that Christians cannot ignore, and he does so from the sure grounding of the gospel.
- George Whitefield: America’s Spiritual Founding Father, by Thomas S. Kidd. A new biography of one of the most significant figures in American history.
