What I’m Reading – 11/11/16

Below are some of the articles and books I’ve read recently that you may enjoy checking out.

  • “The Obama Administration Is About To Make International Adoption A Lot Harder,” (Jayme Metzgar, Federalist) — From the article: “Last month, with all eyes focused on the drama of the presidential election, DOS quietly released new proposed rules governing international adoption. If they go into effect as written, some advocates say Americans’ ability to adopt internationally will decline even further—or possibly face an existential threat.”
  • “Jesus’ Burial Tomb Uncovered: Here’s What Scientists Saw Inside,” (Kristin Romey, National Geographic) — “Researchers have continued their investigation into the site where the body of Jesus Christ is traditionally believed to have been buried, and their preliminary findings appear to confirm that portions of the tomb are still present today, having survived centuries of damage, destruction, and reconstruction of the surrounding Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem’s Old City.”
  • “Linking arms, marching together,” (Danny Akin, Biblical Recorder) — This is a little article I wrote on the importance and privilege of cooperating with other churches for those in the Southern Baptist Churches.
