The Great Commission and Backyard Baseball

As most of you almost assuredly know, we at Southeastern seminary want to be a Great Commission seminary that equips, trains, and sends out gospel workers to make disciples of all nations. One of my greatest joys as the president is getting to hear stories, like the one below, of SEBTS students who are not waiting until they graduate to take the gospel to the lost, but are doing it even now, in their own communities.

In the video below, Matthew Hodges and Joel Harford (who are also members of FBC Durham, NC) are doing something fairly simple—playing baseball!—to weekly reach out to those who live in a nearby section 8 housing community. There they get to regularly share the gospel and apply it to the lives of the young men they are getting to know. Watch, be encouraged, and be challenged to think about how you can make disciples wherever the Lord has you.
